Any resident whose physical address is located in Denton County or anyone who pays property taxes to the City of Pilot Point and/or Denton County is eligible for a free library card. Minors 17 years old and under may receive a library card if a parent or legal guardian has met residential requirements and has a library card in good standing.
Individuals who live outside of Denton County may be eligible to receive a library card upon payment of a nonrefundable annual fee. The fees are $15 for an individual card and $20 for a family card.
Present a picture ID and proof of residency with current street address. Proof of residency examples: utility bill, insurance card, personal mail with postmark, etc.
For the first 30 days of card issuance, patrons may borrow 1 DVD and 4 books at check-out. After 30 days (if the card is in good standing with no fees), patrons may borrow 3 DVDs and unlimited books. All materials check-out for 2 weeks.
Books can be renewed two times (unless the item is on hold for another patron.) DVDs can only be renewed once. To renew items, call or bring the item into the Library (before their due date).
All material may be returned at the front desk during Library hours or deposited in the drive-through book-drop located at the rear of the library which is available 24/7.
