Welcome! Pilot Point has a unique landscape for development. Pilot Point is the oldest settlement in Denton County and has a thriving historic downtown square. The existing city is five square miles and the ETJ is 60 square miles in three counties, Denton, Grayson, and Cooke. The city’s current population is just over 5,000 with a projected population of approximately 50,000 in 10 years. Pilot Point’s economy is diverse, made up of industries that include agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, and education. The city is home to more than 25 cabinet manufacturers, including Chandler Cabinets, which just completed a 200,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility with state-of-the-art equipment and some of the best craftsmen in the business.

Located in the East Cross Timbers sub-region, Pilot Point promotes a well-rooted and thriving agribusiness industry that stands out in equine specialties and sod farm production. This is due to the unique soils which are slightly acidic, sandy or sandy loam, and produce woodlands dominated by post oak, blackjack oak, cedar elm, hickory, osage orange, eastern red cedar, mesquite, bumelia, hawthorn, greenbriar, and a variety of other brush and grass species. Three major creeks run south with the beautiful Lake Ray Roberts recreation area to the west and a planned 500 boat slip marina accessed only through Pilot Point.

Piot Point is ideally located minutes from the Dallas North Tollway extension; I-35; DFW International Airport; and the BNSF and Union Pacific Railways. Running through the city is US Highway 377 which will be a 6-lane divided north-south regional arterial within the next few years. This provides manufacturers with ease of access to get their goods easily in and out.
